Donaldson Company, Inc.

Donaldson Company, Inc., headquartered in Minneapolis, is a leading manufacturer of filtration systems and replacement parts. Products are manufactured at over 30 Donaldson plants around the world and through three joint ventures.
In 1915, Donaldson started as a three-man shop manufacturing simple air cleaners for farm tractors. Today, it has expanded its product portfolio and grown into a worldwide corporation with over 10,000 employees.
Donaldson utilizes both TTN's online learning management system (NVS-LMS) and the Remote Access Disc Library (RAD) to train employees in numerous locations.
Donaldson started with a three-week pilot program to select sales and customer service employees. They had a theme called Hoisting Our Sales- A New Tool!
According to Lori Lehner, Training Manager, the TTN training has been very well received. "One of our top aftermarket reps when asked about her success and how she learned to sell over the phone, replied practice and tips she picked up on TTN", she comments.
It's very important that organizations provide time for training. And to go even further, if there is a dedicated training area employees can have an enhanced training experience. Lori's business group at Donaldson has decided to make this part of their training program.
"Everyone in our business group, including designers, engineers, salespeople, marketing and management, has access to TTN. We have dedicated work stations that people can use so that they can view the TTN modules without distractions in their normal working environment," she said.
She adds, "TTN offers a very cost effective way to provide training on specific areas and at a pace the user chooses."
The beauty of the TTN LMS is that it can also be used effectively for group training.
Lori said, "This year we are offering the core courses that entire groups are assigned at lunch time in a conference room with refreshments to make it easier to fit into their busy schedules and more fun".
