For many of us the New Year often serves as a clean slate. The beginning point to start over, change bad habits, and become the better, brighter somebody we always wished we were. Very often though, the weeks pass by and we become overwhelmed by these new resolutions, our motivation fades, Life becomes busy and demands our attention. By February we become even more frustrated by our seeming inability to achieve the success we desire, and find ourselves asking what we did wrong or why we didn’t succeed.

Here is a little encouragement.

The goals you make for yourself whether they are professional or personal have an impact on your outlook for the year. It’s been shown that the simple act of writing a specific goal increases its likelihood of success ten times. One expert has even been quoted to say that a person with goals can accomplish in 1 to 2 years what it takes another man to accomplish in 5 to 10 years.

So what is the difference between success and failure?

It can often be overwhelming to create goals for change. Not knowing where to start, or how to get there often defeat our journey to success before we even start. At Total Training Network we would like to offer our support, and resources for your success. We are here to help utilize the training you already have, as well as provide information for the e-learning you seek. Got Questions? Call us. Need some ideas for your company? Feel free to ask for our input. Looking for ways to invest in your company’s potential? Take a moment to write down two specific goals you have for yourself personally and/or professionally, figure out a way that you can work toward that goal everyday and give yourself a dead-line (i.e. “I will save enough money to go to Italy by June 12th” rather then “I will save money to go to Italy sometime”), and if you need some encouragement along the way take advantage of what you already have. TTN offers over 200 courses from some of the most successful professionals in today’s business market; covering topics from the very act of how to set a goal to critical business skills like how to give better presentations.

Good luck, and a happy new year!
